We will accept referee and sponsor letters by email until February 15. Referees may send letters and ratings (from A to E) directly to us at letters@jccfund.org. Sponsor letters may also be sent to the same address. Please paste the contents of your letter inside the body of your email.

SPONSOR A SCIENTIST

Support Cancer Research by Sponsoring a Scientist.“Adopting” a scientist through a Sponsored Award gives youthe opportunity to make a direct and significant investmentin a scientist and his or her ideas.

You can sponsor the Fellow of your choice, and sponsorships are available for the full three years of the award or foreach year individually.

To leave a lasting legacy, some donors have funded an award in perpetuity. In that instance, a new scientist will be designated in your name every three years.

Sponsors also have the opportunity to name the Sponsored Award in recognition of their gift or in honor of someone (for example, the “Doe Family Fellow”).

The impact of a Sponsored Award is felt far beyond its tenure – by the scientists themselves, and by all of us who will benefit from their work.

To learn more about sponsoring a scientist, please call Kim Roberts at 203-785-4612 or email jccfund@yale.edu.

IN MEMORY OR IN HONOR DONATIONS

You can dedicate your gift In Honor of a cancer survivor or someone whose life has been affected by the disease. In Honor gifts are also a thoughtful and rewarding way to celebrate important events such as birthdays, weddings and anniversaries.

In Memory donations allow you to offer meaningful condolences and make a direct impact on the disease that took someone special from you.

ABOUT YOUR GIFT

For each In Memory and In Honor cancer donation, we will send a card on your behalf to the person or family you  designate. We do not indicate the amount of the donation on the card.

If you would like to make a donation, you can do so by printing and filling in our donation form, and then mailing it along with your check to:
The Jane Coffin Childs Memorial Fund for Medical Research

PLANNED GIFTS
In addition to donating now, many of our donors have remembered the Jane Coffin Childs Memorial Fund for Medical Research in their long term financial plans. These gifts provide important support to the Foundation and can provide tax savings for you.  After you have provided for your loved ones, please consider leaving this meaningful legacy in support of cancer research.

BEQUESTS
The easiest way to donate to the Jane Coffin Childs Memorial Fund for Medical Research in the future is by including the Fund in your will. There are a number of options, such as designating a specific dollar amount or giving a percentage of the remainder of your estate.  Bequests in the form of property or other assets are also welcome.

See sample language that you can give to your attorney.

RETIREMENT PLANS
You can also name the Foundation as a beneficiary of your IRA, 401(k), Keogh, 403(b), TIAA/CREF or other retirement plan; or of a life insurance policy that is no longer needed.  All you need to do is designate the Jane Coffin Childs Memorial Fund for Medical Research as a beneficiary on the appropriate plan form.

We would be happy to discuss any of these options with you.  We also encourage you to consult with your attorney or financial advisor about your long term financial and estate plans.

We would appreciate hearing from you if you have included the Jane Coffin Childs Memorial Fund for Medical Research in your will or other long-range financial plans.
